Local Kukhura Ko Masu


Introduction

This is a Local Kukhura Ko masu is nepali newari dish . Which very famous among other foreign dish. It is useful is festival and different types of occassion like daishain,Tihar, married special guest etc.







Ingredient

  1. Chicken 1.k.g
  2. muster oil 1\2 cup
  3. Dry onion chopped 100.gm
  4. Bay leaves 3-4 piece
  5. Tomatoes chopped 50.gm
  6. Green coriander chopped 2. tbsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ginger,garlic paste 2. tbsp
  9. Cumin powder,chilly powder 1. tbsp
  10. Turmeric 1.tsp
  11. Garam masala 1.tsp
  12. Fenugeek seeds 1\2 tsp
  13. Cloves, cardamom pods 1\2 tsp
Method

  • Firstly,cut small pieces of chicken meat
  • Fry methi and onion with oil in a pan
  • Put the meat on the pan once the onion turns brownish and turmeric powder after a while
  • Add tejpat, salt, ginger, garlic, cumin powder, powder chilly, garam masala, clove, cardamom on it and stir the whole thing for awhile; cover it after properly stirring.
  • Keep the fire low and keep stirring the ingedients after short intervals; cover the pan after stirring.
  • Add tomatoes and coriander on the ingredients before it cooks well.
  • Note: the dinner can also be served .

What a Joke. Local Kukhura is not only Newari Dish. Newar are specialised in Duck. Actually it is heavily consumed in the eastern Nepal as people there farm local kukhura in their backyard. Brahaman and Chhetri(no racisim here) never farm chicken, so they never have a clue what actually is the authentic local kukhura ko tihun. The above recipe is influenced by Indian curry and is not authentic.
